Lotsa of Love,
Ever since I stumbled on StyleSuzi youtube videos last year , i had been experimenting my hair colour to achieve the ash brown like hers. I see alot of people complementing her hair colour and asking her advice how to do so. For me i just go for it. Never try, never know!!!

So, I decide to write a review on StyleSuzi (formerly known as suzit86) DIY Hair Dye Demo
Like all Asians, I got bored with my black hair and wanted a change. Hence decided to try Suzi's recommendation of DIY rather than  paying £200 ish for my hair to be coloured at the Japanese salon which i have been doing for all this while.

In the earlier features of StyleSuzi's blog , She recommended using Goldwell Topchic in 9NA Very light natural ash blonde permanent hair colour range and a small bottle of hair bleach  40 % vol by Tekniquebase. All these products can be bought at your local Sally's.

Sorry had to take this picture from Suzi's blog as i have deleted the picture I've taken but honestly i did buy the exact product she recommended.

This is what I bought for the first time experimenting the hair colour.

Trying to get use to the colour. Quite happy overall as it was the first time i bleach my hair myself!

After waiting patiently for approximately 6 weeks before re-dyeing the hair again , I wanted to try the other recommendation that Suzi recommended, which is the Loreal Excellence Creme 8.1  Ash Blonde . This is for those who can't get their hands on Goldwell and would like to try the drugstore alternative instead. These hairdye boxes can be purchase either at Boots or Superdrug.

I thought this colour hairdye kinda tone the colour down an appear more red after dyeing it, but then after few washes the colours eventually turn quite ash.  Less red in my opinion. Which is shown is this picture below. ( As you can see i got horrible roots coming out waiting to try the next hair dye )

Right the next  hairdye experiment was back to the professional range from Goldwell .Suzi's recommendation was again from the Goldwell Topchic Range , BUT  in 10P  - Pastel Pearl Blonde
Borrowing the picture from StyleSuzi as I have deleted mine. It's the exact product use anyway but this time with 30% vol of bleach. Apparently it won't be as damaging as the 40% vol.

Still not the same colour achieve by StyleSuzi , in fact its a bit more ginger I reckon?

Then i went home to Malaysia for my holidays and got my hair coloured and bleach in a proper hair salon. But still i didn't like the colour as not only the bleach use was burning my scalp , the colour turn out to be quite ORANGE!! But again with a couple of washes it tone it down slightly but still it was so orange / brassy after going to the salon. I didn't ask what type of hair dye they did but trusted them anyway which I regretfully won't be going back there again.  Anyways here are the pictures from the professionals salon.

It was not bad after a few washes but it was toning down and at the then very orange?

So then , after returning to England and with the hair root showing again as weeks go by , I then decide to give another go on achieving that ash brown colour without the orange / brassiness effect. This time i took the plunge to study the colour chart of the hair dye and ended wanting to go with the same Goldwell Topchic range but in 8NP - Light Blonde Natural Pearl and 30% vol since my hair has been bleached many times.

And I also bought the Lock-in Blonde Hair Colour Additive  - Supposedly to reduce brassiness
all  from Sallys.

So before experimenting this hair colour, show you my badly overdue grown roots

AFTER

I definitely prefer this tone as its more cooler . I would suggest taking time to experiment and study the hair colour chart well before expecting the colour like StyleSuzi. Sometimes it depends on the type of hair you have. For me i think my hair had loads of red in it and therefore didn't turn out as ashy as i thought by using 9NA. Again experiment it from time to time and you may eventually achieve it. Good Luck on the hair dye people.

 Rock and Roll Baby!!!

Lots of Love ,

Nothing beats a good homemade pizza . Yes and i mean everything from scratch including the base. Serioulsy, it costs less then a tenner to make a nice decent home made pizza.

JT and I enjoy cooking together and one of the most frequent dish we make is the Jamie Oliver pizza , top with parma ham , basil and fresh tomatoes. Mmmm so refreshing!!
I mean yeah Domino's makes an awesome pizza but they are certainly very fattening. Homemade pizza get more satiesfaction and is the way to go!
